Did you know?
- The Government is offering a $200 rebate if you switch to gas or solar hot water.
- Flexible stainless steel braided hoses must not be used to connect to hot water systems because they burn out the internal rubber hose and may cause serious damage.
Tips

- Installing a sacrificial anode rod and replacing your safety release valve every 3 years will extend the life of your hot water heater.
- Rusty water is a sign of pending problems.
- Turn on the water in your bathtub and in your kitchen sink. If there is a noticeable reduction in water volume, the piping in the house may need to be replaced because of calcium and mineral deposits.
- Check the date of the water heater. Any heater over 15 years old is a candidate to be replaced.
